EXCELLENT OIL AND MOISTURE RESISTANCE: SOOW Flexible Portable Cord is resistant to oil and moisture, with good tensile strength, elongation, and aging characteristics. It has high flexibility, excellent abrasion resistance, and is both water and sunlight resistant.

SOOW IS RATED TO 600 VOLTS: for indoor and outdoor use. With a temperature range of -40°C to 90°C, SOOW cable is an excellent choice for mitigating outdoor factors that would otherwise alter the performance of wire or cable. SOOW Portable Cord is UL-approved for permanent installation and is often used in new construction and other applications where the wire will not need to be removed.

FULLY ANNEALED STRANDED BARE COPPER: The conductors of SOOW cable are 16 AWG fully annealed stranded bare copper, per ASTM B-174. Insulated conductors (red, black, green, white) are cabled with fillers as necessary to make the cable round, and a separator is applied over the assembly. The insulation thickness is 0.76 mm / 0.030 inches, and the outside cable diameter is 0.420 inches. The overall jacket of this cable is a black, oil-resistant thermoset compound, per UL 62.
